Einmal Immer is the self-titled debut album from the forward-thinking trio from Bergen, Norway. The three musicians are well-known within the scenes of contemporary music, stage production, jazz, electronica, and sound art, having been a part of critically acclaimed projects such as Erlend Apneseth Trio, Strings & Timpani, Building Instrument, Verdensteatret, Alog, and Phonophani.

In many ways, this is an extraordinary album that, by all accounts, should not exist. Since they began playing together in 2013, the trio’s ethos has always been about exploring the high-risk intensity of live, improvised music with little regard for recording or composing for an album.

The band’s name itself, with its nod to mythical German krautrock of the ’60s and ’70s, translates to “once and forever.” It highlights this mindset—making every action count, responding instantly to change and chance, and becoming a part of the cosmos.
