Øyvind Hegg-Lunde is a norwegian drummer, composer, producer. Studied with Terje Isungset at the Grieg Academy in Bergen (2005-2009) and the Music Academy in Gothenburg (2007-2008) within jazz/rhythmic/improvisational music. Active in a variety of bands, including Building Instrument, Junip, Electric Eye, Strings & Timpani, Crab is Crap, Glow, The Big Almost and Krachmacher.
Has done several singel projects with amongst others Arve Henriksen, Per Jørgensen, Trygve Seim, Ståle Storløkken, The Megaphonic Thrift. Has since 2001 toured in Norway and Scandinavia, including most parts of Europe, America, Africa. Discography stretches so far to 21 albums. Have done several collaborations with other art forms such as contemporary dancers, poets, actors, performance artists and VJ’s.
Funder and organizer of the concert series Sessions at Bergen Kunsthall, Landmark. Done studies in West-African Music in Senegal and The Gambia. Received several awards and grants, including Hordaland Fylkeskommunes Art Grant and Bergen Kommunes Art Grant.
